Portraiture Assignment ~ Hali Weber

Howard Schatz is photographer and as oddly as it sounds an ophthalmologist. His used to be hobby has had an substantial living for himself. He has an extensive portfolio some of his latest work revolving around underwater photography. His portraiture consists of black and white and color photography of actors, actresses and athletes. He also did a series called In Character where he gave actresses and actors a role to play while he photographed them.

Glen McClure was born in Norfolk, VA. He is a self taught photographer. He works as in advertising but enjoys doing portraiture of the people he finds on the streets. I selected him for this assignment because his portraiture style is something that I would aspire to acquire. Also he has a plethora of old people photographs and I love photographing old people they great for telling stories with their faces.

Phil Borges is technically considered a social documentary photographer but all of his collections revolve around documenting the people aka portraits. He travels the world and lives with these indigenous cultures documenting them "to bring awareness and inspire support for individuals and organizations that address social issues around the world." He has four award winning books that have been so successful they have been printed in four different languages.
